Copying data to Excel
Copying a block of cells.
In a table view, place a mouse pointer on a starting cell's border and move it until the pointer changes to a plus sign. Press left mouse button and move to the ending cell. Release the button and press Ctrl+C to copy the marked data block into the clipboard.
Open Excel spreadsheet and right-click on the starting cell and select Paste from the popup menu or just use Ctrl+V to paste your data.
The data block will appear in the spreadsheet.
Copying a few rows. Place a mouse pointer on a record selector or a first row. Press left mouse button and move it down to the last row. Release the button and press Ctrl+C to copy the marked rows into the clipboard.
Copying a few columns. Place a mouse pointer on a title of the first column. Press left mouse button and move it right to the last column. Release the button and press Ctrl+C to copy the marked columns into the clipboard.
Before marking columns, you can move unwanted columns out of the block by placing a mouse pointer on the title, pressing the left mouse button, and dragging the column to the right.
Copying all rows. Click the top-left corner of the table view screen, press Ctrl+C, return to the spread sheet, click a cell to start insert from, and press Ctrl+V.
Exporting Data to a spreadsheet In Almyta, you can find a few pre-defined data exports. You can also add a number of new exports or we can email you some upon a request. Let us export Item Master List into a spreadsheet. On the Data/Saved Exports screen, select Item Master List, and click the Excel button.
Importing Data from Excel
Save your spreadsheet in CSV format. In Microsoft Excel, use File/Save As or in later version, click the Office button, choose Save As and then other formats.
Choose CSV (comma-delimited) type of file.
Start your company in Almyta and go to the Data/Import.
(1) Select Item Master List in the Import Database list
(2) Click the Load File button. If your CSV file contains column headers, check First Row is a Header and click Map. Otherwise, choose column names at the top of the table for each column you want to import.
(3) Click the Import button
Before clicking the Import button, you can modify any data in the fields and/or add new records at the bottom of the table.
